Sean’s Chinese name is Yingda 颖达, which means pursue excellence.
Modernist, Designer, Athlete
Sean Shang is a multi-disciplinary designer. His design mainly focuses on brand identity design, sport design, and typography design. He also has profound knowledge of environmental graphic design, information design, UI design, design theory, and design history.
He was a student-athlete from middle school to his senior year of undergraduate studies. The academic courses and daily practice always conflicted with each other. The years of trying to balance them inspired him to mix his talent in design and sports.
When he was the vice-captain of the university basketball team, he learned how to be a leader. More than ten years of student-athlete life made him perseverant, punctual, and a team player. He believes hard work always pays off.
